Works

I am a collaborative musician, writer, and theatre maker with over 10 years of experience creating a diverse and substantial body of work rooted in relationships with the self, each other, and the world around us. I began my composition/sound design career as Sound Designer for the New York Neo-Futurists’ Drama Desk-nominated production The Human Symphony, which also earned me a nomination for a New York Innovative Theatre Award in Outstanding Sound Design. Since then, my composition and design style has explored many different avenues; in recent years I have begun exploring Afrofuturist themes, beginning with a commission from artist Mélissa Smith for her family-friendly production Blast Off! (to space) The Show, and most recently with my long-term project CHRONOTYPE.

Over the past year or so I have created soundscapes, song cycles, and experiential work, drawing from elements of my life and from the world at large, while also examining and dancing with the alchemy between performer and audience. One of my most recent performances was an evening of my original music and spoken word in May 2025 at NYC's premier theatre venue for new works, Ars Nova, curated by Ars Nova Vision Resident Dominique Rider. My latest composition, Welcome to the Show, features electronically processed Wagner tuba, physical tasks, interview audio, and music for mixed chamber ensemble and voice.

CHRONOTYPE - PM

July 2023

This is a composition/performance art piece I composed for The Walden School Players, an ensemble-in-residence I am a part of at The Walden School each July in Dublin, NH. It features electric horn, and five other players operating independently based on prompts. The bird calls, tiger head, and soup were all elements I incorporated from my environment during the week leading up to this performance.

Prompts given to the performers included: "intrusive thoughts", "anxiety", and "feed him soup".
